God Within God Without

Much of my writing here involves the relationship between the inner and outer worlds, how they inform each other on a mutual journey of discovery with the God of Mystery.

I have found The Message to be a fresh rendering of Scriptures where my soul is recharged in a new and different way than with the familiar texts of more common translations.

Below is this morning’s reading which I found particularly relevant to the contemplative work I reference here in this blog space:

Matthew 5:8 MSG
“You’re blessed when you get your inside world-your mind and heart-put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.

I pray that as God continues to open the eyes of my heart I will be able to see more of God in the world I walk in every day. I find such sight to be particularly necessary during this time of upending.
